ADSHE North West

Next meeting

The North West Group will hold their third regional meeting on Friday 25th November 2011, at Glyndŵr University.  We welcome members from across the North West of England and North Wales.  The group aims to meet twice a year for a full day’s meeting.  Numbers are limited.
ADSHE members will be given first priority for spaces.  Membership of  the group is not dependent on being able to attend meetings and we aim to circulate details of our meetings and discussions to all members in the North West and North Wales.

For this third meeting, we are aiming to welcome representatives from Autism Cymru, who will host a 2 hour workshop in the afternoon.

We encourage attendees to bring along resources they have found of particular use/importance and time will also be available for networking and informal discussions.  Please book your place, as numbers are limited.

News
Our first meeting was held at the University of Chester. The attendees were a mix of staff on permanent contracts in HE institutions, part time self employed dyslexia support staff and those on fractional contracts within HE or FE institutions.
The group held a formal meeting to establish the format of future meetings and discuss topics of interest. Pat Francis provided a very practical and entertaining workshop full of strategies to inspire art and design students to write.

Future Developments

We welcome all members working in the North West and North Wales. We are particularly keen for members to share their knowledge and skills to enhance our professional development.
