Wales
The approximate area this group covers:
Currently covers all of Wales. However, communications are difficult due to geography of area and it has been v difficult to sustain contact face-to-face – which is what members really value. A split into North and South groups has been discussed, but even that might not work as the distances/journey times between mid and north are almost as great as the distances between north and south. There is also a perception that ever increasing work-loads make it difficult for members to take time out for meetings as they will inevitably mean at least a day away from work

Professor Angela Fawcett now works in Swansea University, so although Wales has lost one distinguished authority on dyslexia following the sad death of Professor Tim Miles, the region has gained another.
