Thames Valley Regional Group

The Thames Valley Regional Group will be holding a meeting on Thursday 9th February at the University of Reading. The meeting will commence at 1.30 with a short networking session starting formally at 2pm and finishing at 4.00/4.30pm. We welcome members from the area though numbers are limited so please do book a place.

The agenda for the meeting will include: Tanya Zybutz presenting on Professional Peer Supervision, results and feedback from a SuperReading course that Royal Holloway have been conducting and a round table discussion on non-encrypted Needs Assessment Reports being sent and the confidentiality issues this may present.

If any of you would like to attend, then please do contact me directly at s.e.lawrence@reading.ac.uk for further details and any members who wish to come and will be travelling by car, please let me know as parking permits will need to be arranged.

ADSHE NORTH regional meeting

Training on MindView – Mind-mapping software from Rory O’Byrne, from MatchWare Ltd.

When: Thursday the 15^th of March 2012

Time: 11 am to 3.30pm

Where: University of Sheffield; Fulwood room, University House.

Mind View is an excellent piece of software which is ideal for students in higher education to use as study tool enabling students to do the following:

Plan and Structure their work
Organise studies and research
Time Management

As usual the training is only part of the day as we will be having a meeting to discuss any pressing issues and topics you want to discuss. Remember our meeting are also about supporting each other on practice issues.

Therefore please send me you contributions and I will add them to the agenda.

Honorary membership awarded to Ellen Morgan

It was the wish of the executive committee that we should mark our tenth anniversary by creating an award of Honorary Membership of ADSHE and there was unanimous agreement that our first Honorary Member should be Ellen Morgan. Ellen was presented with a certificate in recognition of her part in founding ADSHE, steering it through the first crucial years and of her continuing support for the association as it heads into its second decade.
