ADSHE OCN Level 5 course: Teaching Students with Specific Learning Differences in FE & HE
We will soon be opening enrollment for our Level 5 on-line course – running from September 2020 until June 2021. In collaboration with the Open College Network London, the course is designed to enable you to become Specialist Study Skills and Support Tutors and teach post-16’s with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs).
The course will look at how adults learn and potential barriers to learning that SpLD students can face. Using the ADSHE 7-Principles® as a guide, strategies to support adult learning will be examined and you will learn how to help students develop their own personal strategies. Additionally, the course will provide you with a background knowledge of the legislation impacting on students and any additional needs they might have. You will gain an understanding of different SpLDs and how they might impact on students studying in post-16 educational institutions.
Enrollment opening in January 2020 – more details coming soon!
