You will be responsible for the effective delivery of study skills and mentoring support which will ultimately maximise learner’s retention and achievement. With the ability for teaching to meet a wide range of learner needs and styles to boost confidence in their own academic skills. You will be involved in the delivery of induction workshops, preparation study skills for HE learners and disability awareness staff training. Experience in supporting mature learners with difficulties and disabilities in a higher education setting would be beneficial.
You will be an excellent communicator and have a strong team-work ethos working closely with teams within Group Learning Support. Digital literacy and strong administration skills are essential along with good knowledge of SEND and the Disabled Students Allowance process. You will be able to react to change quickly and positively with a willingness to travel to alternative campuses as required.
Position: full time, 37 hours week although consideration will be given to flexible working requests including but not limited to part time, term time only.
Location: Stoke Park campus and Merrist Wood campus, Guildford College
